Purdy Group was founded
in 1991, by Richard L.
Purdy. During those
early years we focused
on manufacturing
companies since our
roots where formed
there. Our background
stretched over 30 years
in founding, growing and
selling manufacturing
companies.
Today
we spend the majority of
our time as Business
Intermediaries (Merger
and Acquisition)
specialists. We have
grown over the last 13
years and now work with
manufacturing,
distributing and many
types of service
companies. We offer a

Our Seller client
engagements start with a
brief consultation with
the majority
shareholder(s). During
this meeting we attempt
to gather preliminary
information about the
company and its
operations. We will then
provide the client with
an outline plan that
covers the general scope
of our efforts. We will
advise the cost to
accomplish the task, the
time it will require,
the extent of the
client's participation,
and the result we expect
to achieve. Typically
this proposal includes
three major elements;

Valuation;
The Purdy
Group will
provide
the client
with a
complete
report on
the
present
market
value of
the
enterprise.
Factors
involved
include;
detailing
the
history,
growth
rate,
management,
competition,
profits,
potential,
assets,
patents,
good will
and many
others.
This gives
the Client
a view of
where they
fit
amongst
similar
firms in
the
industry
and how
they will
be valued.

for Buyer Clients
Our
Buyer clients retain
The Purdy Group to
perform Targeted
Acquisition Searches.
We meet with the
client initially to
develop the parameters
of the search. The
client usually has
very specific criteria
and together we
discuss and refine the
description and
specifications of the
acquisition candidate.
Frequently our client
defines several
critical elements such
as geography, sales
volume, or market
niche that must be
met. Considering this
information we will
respond with a fee
proposal for the
search and a fee
schedule for any
resulting transaction.
Once
our search is
underway, there is
constant communication
with the client. We
bring forth various
prospects for
discussions usually at
the prospect's
facilities. Because of
our unique techniques
and approach to the
search process, The
Purdy Group has had a
very high success rate
in this type of work.
